Affiliate disclosure

Schloss Nymphenburg takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. Book a tour through a link or a booking widget on this site and GetYourGuide pays me a small commission. You pay exactly what you would have paid going to them directly — the commission comes out of their end, not yours.

Which links these are

Every tour card, every “check availability” button and every booking widget on the site. They carry my partner tag and they open on GetYourGuide, which is where the booking is made and where your money goes. The links to the Bavarian Palace Administration, for Nymphenburg and for the Munich Residenz, are not affiliate links and earn me nothing. They are there because that is where those tickets are actually sold.

What no commission here can buy you

The state combination ticket, which is what most readers of this site came for. It is sold by the Bavarian Palace Administration, it costs about twenty euros for an adult in summer and less in winter, everyone under 18 goes in free, and so do students over 18 from general, vocational and special schools with valid ID. I earn nothing on it. I earn nothing on the palace on its own, on the Marstallmuseum, or on the four park palaces, for the same reason.

And I earn nothing at all on the two hundred hectares of park, because walking in it costs nothing at any hour the gates are open, in every season. That is probably the most valuable thing on this whole site to a visitor, and there is no commission attached to it anywhere. If that sounds like an odd thing to put on a disclosure page, it is exactly why this one is worth reading.

How it affects what I write

It has not stopped me writing that the most-booked Nymphenburg listing is also the lowest-rated of the twelve, that four of the twelve have no written reviews worth the name, that one states plainly that its tickets are not included, or that the biggest listing in the catalogue by review count goes to the Alps and never comes here. All of that is on the reviews page and on every tour we list. A recommendation I would not give a visitor standing in front of me is worth less than the commission on it.
